the duration of this private tour will be about 10 hours it depends on the traffic and your pace but don't be terrified cos the hike itself is about 4 hours; the Jinshanling Great Wall is about 140km northeast of Beijing and the altitude there is about 500m higher than Beijing downtown,summer time is good cos it is cooler than the city but winter is bad cos is a lot colder; the Great Wall there is very splendid,it looks like a colossal necklace on the neck of the mountains,the untold watch towers along the Wall look like golden beads, it is picturesque!

this private tour will offer you private english-speaking tour guide and private transportation with professional driver,after the hike will stop at local restaurant for authentic local lunch

What Can You Expect?

the detailed itinerary is:you will be picked up at your hotel at 7am in weekday but if it is weekend or public holiday in order to beat the traffic will start earlier otherwise your day will be ruined by infamous traffic jam; the picked up location will be your hotel(as long as it is inside the 4th ring road),professional tour guide and driver will meet you at hotel then will take you the Great Wall for the hike and the guide will share the history of the Great Wall with you, after the hike the guide and driver will take you to local restaurant for lunch with beers if you want, after lunch will drive you back to the city and drop you off at your hotel

In last month, my boyfriend and me joined the tour. The tour guide name is Peter. We were very satisfied about the hiking experience and service provided by Peter and the car driver. The view was fantastic under a great weather. Peter provided us a friendly and professional service. He picked us on time from the hotel and sent us back to the city on time, so he helped us having enough time to visit another site after the tour. Peter's English is very good and fluent. He is very knowledgeable about Great Wall's history. He also provided us water in the car and provided us apple during the break. He is a very nice and kind person to hang out with. We would love to introduce his service to our friends if they visit Great Wall and would love to have his service again when we re-visit Great Wall in the future. Overall, we highly recommended this tour and peter too.
