Jimmy has worked in the Marlborough wine industry for 20 years in a variety of roles including work in viticulture,cellar, sales and as a wine tutor. He loves the region and has a strong knowledge of all aspects of the business. Through industry contacts he is able to help you look behind the label and discover the delights of this beautiful wine region.

Owned by a renowned producer from Sancerre this boutique tasting room is housed in an historic colonial Kauri timbered church overlooking their organic vineyards which we will drive through on route

Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Rock Ferry Wines, 130 Hammerichs Road, Blenheim 7272 New Zealand

A delightful organic vineyard surrounding a beautiful tasting room and restaurant sitting amongst the vines. Tasting fee provided, lunch at guests cost

Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes

Stop At: Bladen Wines, 83 Conders Bend Road, Renwick 7275 New Zealand

a very small artisan winery established and run by one family.

Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Huia Vineyards, 22 Boyces Road Rd 3, Rapaura, Blenheim 7273 New Zealand

a small boutique winery producing a wide range of wines from organically certified grapes.

I booked Jimmy’s wine tour about a year out per excellent reviews and I am so glad I did. My husband and I had a truly memorable tour during our first time in New Zealand! Jimmy brought along his lovely wife for the tour as part of training and we were so glad he did. I think it really made the tour even more special as both of them shared their knowledge of wines and the area. We visited three different wineries and everybody knew Jimmy; we felt like VIPs and in very good hands. We learned so much from Jimmy and even tasted different grapes from the vines that he recommended. The highlight of our tour was Cloudy Bay and Jimmy was kind enough to drive us back to the winery at the end of our tour so we could buy a few more bottles of wine. Both Jimmy and his wife were engaging and interested in getting to know us. We also really enjoyed asking them so many questions and they were happy to answer them all. We did not want to say goodbye. I highly recommend this tour and will book Jimmy again if we find ourselves back in the Marlborough region.

Jimmy was the best. We went to several small great wineries and everyone seemed to know Jimmy. He is very knowledgeable and helpful in understanding the nuances of New Zealand wines. Treat yourself; have Jimmy be your guide.

We had a fabulous day with Jimmy, he picked us up promptly from our. Cruise ship drop off in his Mercedes, drove us to 2 nice wineries, made lunch reservations, and took us to another fine winery, he was informative about the area and was easy to talk to, we enjoyed the wine and his company and would highly recommend a day with him!
