My family spent a week in Borovets at the start of January. We have two young Children (6 and 8) who had never skied before, and we booked five days of 3 hour private lessons for them. I have skied before but I joined the private lesson mainly to help out and share the excitement of skiing with our kids. Our ski instructor was Neil Burton who was just brilliant. If you are in Borovets and interested in lessons, do all you can to get Neil as your instructor. Neil is English and has grandchildren of his own. He immediately had a fantastic rapport with all of us and was infinitely patient throughout the week. Our daughter didn’t really take to skiing that much and was happy snow ploughing on the nursery slopes. our son, on the other hand, was parallel turning down blue runs by the end of the week. Three hours is a long session for young children but both our kids where focused and engaged throughout. Neil divided his time between both our children and was so encouraging. We had considered putting our kids into ski school but are so glad that we didn’t. Private lessons with Neil is definitely the way to go, particularly for first time skiers.
We had the most amazing holiday. We booked 5 days lessons with Hunters never skied before. Our instructor was Agni, she truly made our holiday, Agni took her time went at everyone’s pace no one was left behind. After 2 days Agni took the kids off and the adults moved to another group with Simon who was also fantastic so patient… i asked my kids what was your favorite thing about skiing and they all said Agni 🥰🥰 she thought us the best trick's can’t wait to book again!!!
My children had lessons for 3.5 days with Bobbi. They were complete beginners and by the end of our trip they were able to ski down the mountain. They really enjoyed the experience and would like to return next year. I think they will be talking about Bobbi until our next trip!
My family went skiing to Borovetz in Bulgaria, and Hunters Ski School was the perfect choice for our stay. Veselin Grivev was a ski instructor that you only find once in a lifetime. Although he has experience as a top-level ski racing athlete, he was extremely patient with us (intermediate-level skiers), and he could not have been more supportive of our learning progress. He loves teaching and is enthusiastic when he sees that you also like skiing. He adapts his teaching to the level of each individual in the group and always shares an immense and profound level of knowledge with excitement. He can accurately predict if you need a more steady lesson or prefer a more challenging session and sets the lesson accordingly. Veselin studied sports, specialising in skiing at National Sport Academy Vasil Levski, and, besides all his practical top-level ski skills, is firmly knowledge in the theoretical component of sports. He is a super kind person, and we wish him all the best success in his life, as he deserves!
Great 6 days of lessons! We booked with Hunters and everyone there was great, the guys fitting our ski's/ boots, people in the office and especially the instructors. We had a big mixed group (12) initially with Agni and Bogi (Bogdan) teaching us the basics before splitting into two smaller groups (6). I was a complete beginner, never been skiing before and was with Agni for the first few days, she really helped me get to grips with it and really quickly! The whole group improved massively! After a couple of days I moved into Bogi's group to be with friends who had been skiing before. He built on what Agni taught and I went from not being able to put a set of ski's on to being comfortable on the black runs! Couldn't ask for better instructors and they're a great laugh.
