What an incredible experience. A great outing with family or friends. The tour is well organized and they think of just about everything. The only frustration for us was the lack of time to look at the photos taken by staff, and to purchase those we wanted before we docked. There were a limited number of ipads circulated for guests to view hundreds of photos of our day. More screens and more staff to take orders, would improve the process.

My husband and I have never took a dive course before however diving the Great Barrier Reef was and has been on our bucket list for many years. I must say that the Down Under crew were amazing @ orchestrating such a great time for everyone! Side note: it’s the nicest boat in the harbor. Well kept and clean vessel. Daniel was our intro dive instructor and he did a great job calming me and my husband ensuring that we succeeded @ our first dive! The reef was beautiful, happy to have seen it with my husband! The lunch was sub par, i’d Advise you to bring snacks. Participate in as many photos and have great memories to bring back home, along with professional photos of the reef. The ship had 137 people the day we went and it never felt crowded. The options are plentiful, you can dive, snorkel, take a helicopter tour, or even do a semi-submarine. We just did an intro dive @ first stop, and snorkeled the second. Loved seeing it both ways. Other crew members to mention that provided excellent service were Cedrick and Tom. Thank you all for making our experience one to remember!

Great, accommodating staff, knowledgeable and made the trip comfortable. We very much enjoyed it, in spite of a bit of sea sickness!!! The reef was spectacular as we saw a variety of fish, and a giant sea turtle came right up to us! Would HIGHLY recommend

Out of so many options available to see the Great Barrier reef we chose Down Under with the Heli tour. Wonderful experience, plenty of time to snorkel, crew was hard working and really nice, heli tour was ok if you haven't done a heli ride before. If you're not a swimmer you can still snorkel on a guided tour with one of the crew members. Only recommendation would be to cater some food options for little kids. Lunch was just OK, our 4 and 9 year old didn't really eat anything for hours on the boat, but they enjoyed the snorkeling. If the food was a little better along with some options for kids, it would have been perfect. Photos are expensive as usual.

I had a wonderful time on the boat and had a very memorable snorkeling trip. There were a lot of people on the boat and not a lot of people realized they should've taken seasickness medication. I went to my doctor and got a prescription patch and I was good for the entire day as I had put it on the night before for maximum effectiveness. Don't make the mistake of forgetting to take seasickness medication!! A lot of time was spent on the boat for people who were beginning scuba and scuba time--I personally would not recommend scubaing here unless you were already certified and very comfortable with it otherwise too much time on the reef is lost. Since I have asthma and flew in the night before I chose to just snorkel and it was still magical. I also chose to do the helicopter flight which if you are new to helicopters is a perfect choice. SO MANY COLORFUL FISH. Wow! And a sea turtle at the second diving location--WOW! A perfect day. Thank you so much for the fun. They need to get some 3X and 4X wetsuits for the heavier travelers for stinger season. Many people, especially in their later years, are going to be that size.
