Wonderful day. Our guide Andrew was great! Very knowledgeable & happy to answer all questions Pyramid related or not. Both he & Abdullah our driver made our day very special & nothing was too much trouble for them. Excellent lunch provided.

I get no joy at all having to write a bad review, but unfortunately our tour today with Kareem was very disappointing. His level of English was very low, and he often had trouble expressing himself and resorted to drawing pictures in a notepad or using his finger to draw crude diagrams in the sand to describe a point. I can understand a strong accent, but this was more than that, as he had a lot of trouble with numbers and dates which made it very hard to understand what he was trying to say. He told us one of the pyramids was 30 kilometers around at the base, he told us a short tunnel was 2 kilometers long, and he told us dates such as “three thousand eighty and fifty BC” He was unable to answer nearly every question posed to him, and when asked to provide some background on the pharaohs at the pyramids he said “there isn’t really much history here” and informed us that he wasn’t required to learn any of that information for his tour guide license. It became clear that many of his answers were inventions of his own, such as saying the pyramid blocks were carried up ladders and that the pyramids were constructed from the top down. When asked about weathering patterns on a pyramid stone, he said it was from children breaking the stones, and when asked what happened to the limestone cladding on the great pyramids, he simply told us “it broke” I know this company has good reviews, but it’s really disappointing that we ended up with this tour guide today. The frustration began with the very poor and limited English, and by the end of the day it had become infuriating to realize this man knew very very little about the sites along the tour route and was unable to answer almost every question we had about what we were seeing. Came home and had to research all of the basic information that couldn’t be provided to us this afternoon. We did make it clear from the start that we were not interested in any shopping stops, and that was respected so I do give credit for that. And even though he tried to end the tour after 5 hours, he did comply when we said we wanted to spend more time exploring the Giza complex.

The whole experience was great . Mina is an excellent tour guide and Ashraf a super nice guy-driver. The only reason i put 4 stars is the fact when we went to Papyrus factory i was scammed by the sales guy there, where he wanted to sell me a Papyrus drawing printed out from the computer for USD 250 and after strong negotiations i bought it for USD 60 believing that it was hand-made .The add your name in hyreoglific to make it more authentic and unique. Next day i went to National Egypt Museum and i found similar pattern papyrous for only USD 6. I paid 10 the market value in this tour. I was mostly disappointed because i asked Mina and Ashfrad if i made a good deal for USD 60 and their answer was not clear.Ofcourse their tourist agent receives commission for each overpriced sale, but i do not like people who underestimate other people and take advantage of their awareness. The same people will go this evening of Ramadan to wash their body of their sins cheating a tourist same morning. They are fasting from food but not from cheating people. Customer relations are based on honesty and trust, such behaviours are shameful. My advice take the tour,Mina and Ashfrad are great people, but do not buy anything from papyrus up to carpet, it's definitely overpriced for idiot tourists like me🤣

The trip was more of shopping offer than a ..let's actually see true sites and learn history and felt rushed. Yeah I found some things I wanted, but if I wanted to buy stuff I would have gone on shopping trip myself... I want to see the sights not a extra favor for, what seemed like friends of the guide or driver in the "shops" we visited. Guide didn't even seem like was licensed? Seem like they ducked out and then went around a security gate as a if they paid off a guard to be let in...
