A really informative and friendly tour. Although I come to Cambridge often I found out lots about the history of the buildings & places I don't usually have time to stop and appreciate.

A thoroughly worth while tour of Cambridge. Whilst very professional, our tour guide was highly entertaining and so knowledgeable; she not only went over the growth of the colleges, but also their architectural features covering the centuries. Also included was the town and gown aspect and how the integration had not always been smooth. All questions were answered clearly as were queries not even asked! Our guide so obviously enjoyed her subject that energy didn’t wain so time seemed to pass quickly and certainly pleasantly. Having lived in Cambridge for over forty years I was intrigued at how much I still had to learn about our wonderful City.

A very informative and enjoyable visit to some key historic sites in Cambridge. Our guide, Deborah, skilfully led us through the development of Cambridge as a town and university. We learnt about the history and financing of some of the early colleges along the river, and the impact this had on the original town and its subsequent growth. The walk was gentle and took us on a circuit around the key central sites, starting at St Bene’t’s Church, past King's College and along to St John’s, past the Round Church and along Bridge Street and then returning south to Queens' College and Silver Street to the river. Our very knowledgeable guide stopped at various sites to explain important developments, architecture and history. This helped us understand how the town and university supported each other through the ages, and also why there were occasional tensions. We had fun on this tour too, and would definitely recommend it and our guide, Deborah.
