Gallipoli Peninsula Historical National Park established in 1973 and included in the UN List of National Parks and Protected Areas, covers 33.000 hectares at the southern end of the Gallipoli Peninsula on the European side of the Dardanelles. The park includes memorials, monuments, cemeteries, the natural beauty of the Ariburnu Cliffs and Salt Lake. The beauty of the green hills, sandy beaches and blue waters provides an honorable resting place for the soldiers who bravely fought and died in this historic battle
