Itinerary
This is a typical itinerary for this product

Pass By: Muizenberg Beach, Beach Rd, Cape Town Central 7950 South Africa

We pass this iconic beach on the False Bay coast were shark Spotters keep a lookout for Great White Sharks and keep surfers and swimmers safe. Lookout for the flags which indicate the level of threat at any given time. If the hooter sounds, make sure you are not in the water.

Pass By: Kalk Bay Harbour, Kalk Bay 7990 South Africa

With its sturdy harbor wall, Kalk Bay harbor is a safe haven for the fishing fleet that calls it home. Keep a lookout for the colourful fishing boats which for years have plied these waters to harvest the catch of the day.

Pass By: Fish Hoek, Cape Town, 7975, South Africa

This once sleepy town on the False Bay coastline has become the commercial hub of the area. Blessed with an awesome swimming beach it is also an attraction during summer months.

Pass By: Simon's Town, Simon's Town, Western Cape

As the headquarters of the South African Navy, Simonstown must be the most protected town in South Africa. It is home to most of the Naval Fleet including its' submarines. Keep a look out for Naval vessels at the docks or if you are lucky to see them out at sea in the bay.

Stop At: Cape Point Nature Reserve, Cape Town Central South Africa

This is the epicenter of our trip and we spend most of our time exploring the myriad of treasures this reserve has to offer. From hiking to the lookout point at the lighthouse with its' awesome views to interacting with the local baboon troupe. Keep a lookout for the rare Cape Mountain Zebra. This is an interactive part of the trip so if you spot something you would like to take a closer look at let the driver know and we will stop. We also visit the point of the Cape of Good Hope which for 100's of years was negotiated by mariners who also called it the Cape of Storms. The visit includes two museums, the first at Buffelsfontein, the original farm at Cape Point and the second on the way up to the lookout point. This is a trip not to miss out on as we do not only visit the main tourist attritions but venture off the beaten track and have a "locals only" experience.

Duration: 5 hours

Pass By: Sun Valley, Sun Valley, Western Cape

On our way home we travel to the other side of the peninsula passing towns like Misty Cliffs, Scarborough and Kommetjie. View the impressive Slangkop lighthouse and cross the mountains via Ou Kaapse Weg before joining the highway to home.

Pass By: Cape Town Central, Cape Town Central, Western Cape

Please remember that although we do not plan stops along the way or on the way home, this is an interactive adventure and you are encouraged to request a stop or in certain instances a route deviation. This is after all a trip IN2THECAPE and we believe in taking the road less travelled.

I particularly enjoyed the climb to the uppermost point of Cape Point. The view from the top was simply breath-taking. Simon, the tour guide, knew his history. It was refreshing hearing about the several historical sites from an experienced and well-informed guide. Having Simon with us made all the difference!
