As the Game Reserve is situated in the Western Cape, you will not need to worry about the risk of malaria. Enjoy some of the Cape's most unique flora and fauna, beautiful landscapes and wildlife all in one day! The elephants and lions have all been rescued by the team at the reserve, after encountering a virtual wipe out due to settlement and agricultural development. You will also find the cheetah rescue and rehabilitation centre which was founded in 2001, home to numerous cheetahs.

Am Bahnhofsvorplatz, ist ein großflächiges Glas-Mosaik zu Betrachten: Es zeigt die fünf Säulen, der um 1950 noch geltenden Wirtschaftszweige in der Stadt Gelsenkirchen, in bunten Bilddarstellungen. Chemie-Industrie Glas-Industrie Kohle Stahl Industie Bekleidungsindustrie Am Bahnhofsvorplatz, beim " Eis Geschäft Dolce Vita ", kann man ein großflächiges Glasmosaik sehen. Das vor langer Zeit, den Hauptbahnhof in Gelsenkirchen schmückte. Die Stadt Gelsenkirchen, war sicherlich stolz auf ihre damals florierende Industrie, was auf diesen Mosaik gut zur Geltung kommt. Der Künstler dieses Mosaiks, Franz Marten, der dieses aus 35.000 Einzelteilen bestehenden Kunstwerk, zu einer Industrie-Ikone der damaligen Zeit, so um die Zeit um 1950 anfertigte, zeigt die Hochkultur der Wirtschaft, der Stadt Gelsenkirchen. Das große Wandmosaik, hat eine Höhe von 7,75 Metern, und eine Breite von 8,20 Metern. Ursprünglich war dieses besondere Glas-Mosaik in der Vorhalle vom alten Hauptbahnhof in Gelsenkirchen zu sehen gewesen. Seit 1982 wurde aus sanierungsbedingten Umbau Arbeiten vom Hauptbahnhof, das Kunstwerk, an einer Hausfassade am Bahnhofsvorplatz angebracht Seit dem Jahre 2025 ist es Denkmalgeschützt... Auf dem Kunstwerk sind bildhaft die damaligen fünf Säulen der Gelsenkirchener Wirtschaftszweige bildhaft dargestellt zu sehen. Es wird auf die Chemie-Industrie, der Glasbläserei, dem Bergbau, der Stahlindustrie und dem Schneider Handwerk Symbolhaft hingewiesen. Heute im Jahre 2023 ist die katholische Kirche in Gelsenkirchen, der zweit größte Arbeitgeber mit über 4000 Arbeitsplätzen. Dies hätte damals, sicherlich niemand für möglich gehalten...
