This tour includes a cellar tour and a cheese tasting, plus two wine tastings. A third tasting will be included if time permits.  

You may wish to purchase some wine and have it sent home to share with good friends and family.

Here we will stop for lunch (for own account) and another wine tasting at a vineyard.

We'll then head to Stellenbosch, the second oldest town in South Africa and the historic heart of the country's wine region. In 1679, Dutch East India Company governor Simon van der Stel, recognized the fertility of this long valley on the banks of the Eerste River, as perfect for vineyards. The rest is history, which has been carefully cultivated in this town.

Michael was polite, considerate, very knowledgeable and showed us cool things off the beaten track. Even looked for a pharmacy when we needed. His relationships made every stop more than just the normal tourist stop with friendly, happy to help people. Nothing felt forced or over played making the overall day great.

Unfortunately I could not attend my full day wine tasting because it was cancelled by the service provider. In doing that they then managed to mess up our birthdays. I'm still waiting for a an email with a refund form. Plus the lady I spoke to was painfully rude and condescending. Oh wait they also tried to arrange an alternative and that ALSO did not work out. So disappointed in Hylton Ross

The trip was okay, but we felt rushed a bit and the different wine estates also didn't show standards of changing glasses and elaborate on how to taste wine etc....Not bad, but can definitely improve

We had a great day tour with Robbie from Hilton Ross. We had 3 different wine tasting sessions at amazing vineyards across the Cape. He took us to Stellenbosch for lunch as well as other local landmarks. He offered great local knowledge as well as knowledge of South Africa as a whole - I would recommend this tour to anyone! Thanks

Did the Wine route and Cape Hope tour with them. Everything on time, great vans, great places, super friendly guides. Salome was amazing with a lot of knowledge and very kind with all of us. Will take them again when I go back to Cape Town
