This wine tour by far beat the wine tours we’ve done in Napa. Our guide and host John took us to three amazing wineries that were each unique experiences with delicious wines, food, and fun times. We recommend this to anyone! Definitely better than any wine tram and with the money!! John…thank you for making our day so fabulous and memorable!!

We were here for a work trip and had a free day for the 7 of us to explore the wine region. All of the stops chosen were delicious, the tour guide was very knowledgeable and funny. The lunch spot was delicious.

A fantastic tour from John who knew a great deal about the local vineyards, their history, and the production and tasting of wine. Each estate was beautiful and it was interesting to learn about their different approaches to wine. John was able to tailor each visit to our personal tastes, which made the experience invaluable - we have broadened our horizons of wine and will be sure to purchase more South African wine going forwards. Worth every penny.

The Stellenbosch wine tour was everything we thought it would be! George was our guide and we had a driver, I don’t remember his name, sorry. They picked us up at our hotel on time. Along the way to Stellenbosch, George shared some really interesting facts about the area and country. Prior to the tour we received a message asking our preference for lunch. They helped us choose the perfect lunch spot! We had a wine and chocolate tasting at Waterford (beautiful property, try the Cabernet), wine tasting at Hartenburg (where we tasted/purchased a great wine, The Stork) and finally a wine/cheese tasting at L’Avenir. George pulled some strings to have the owner give us a private tour of the cellar and wine processing area! We had a group of 12 (large group) and George kept us on schedule. It was a really perfect day!

I booked this tour as part of a short three-day trip to Cape Town with my husband. I was a little worried about booking through La Vacanza Travel solely based on historic reviews, but this tour really lived up to its very positive 5-star accolades! Our lovely guide John was incredibly knowledgeable, very professional but also super friendly, and exceptionally organised. He picked us up very promptly from our hotel in the morning. It was a pleasure to spend the day with him and we learnt a lot whilst sampling some truly exceptional South African wines. All the admin. is done very discreetly in the background so you can really enjoy the day. Fantastic. Would highly recommend. If we visit again I would definitely book through the same company. Enjoy!
