I have no words to explain how incredible this tour was! First of all, our driver -Ivan- was fantastic! He was very friendly, punctual, well-organised and polite and had a great knowledge about the tour and city. He went out of his way to help elderly members in our small group to get their tickets as they hadn't printed them out. As for the experience of visiting Robben Island, it was an incredible and very emotional experience, that was very well organised. Our tour guide on the bus (Mohammed) was one of the best tour guides I've ever had, his knowledge of the history of the island, country and Mandela was beyond amazing and he was an amazing story-teller. Our tour guide, Jama, who was an ex-prisoner was also amazing, his story and experience was hard to hear, but also very informative. These guides and employees are inspiring and daily heroes. I feel lucky to have experienced it.

The Robben Island experience itself was terrific. We never met the person who was supposed to meet us, he said he was running late so we boarded the ferry ourselves. On the return trip we became separated, and my wife was denied boarding , travelling back on a different boat, but it did arrive quickly. All in all a bit of a dogs dinner regrettably, but of no fault of the Robben Island team

Robben island was very eye opening. Been to many prisons but never had a former prisoner as a guide. Could put up a small museum with facts and timeline as to what happened there.they had mechanical problems with their boat so we were 1 1/2 hours late so couldn’t be dropped off at hotel. Cost us an extra 150 R to get back to our hotel. A little disorganized

Well organised, but large numbers actually in groups on the island itself. Would have preferred smaller numbers timed more specifically perhaps.

We were on a cruise ship stopped in Cape Town overnight and booked this tour not knowing that we could have just walked to the Nelson Mandella museum where tickets could have been purchased and tour began. Travel to Robben Island on ship with a video playing that could have been louder or have better closed captioning. Bus guide was excellent and provided historical information. Prison tour seemed a bit rushed because we were on the last rour of the day.
