The adress on La Vacanza Travel was wrong and the team was unprofessional. I told them kindly that they should maybe check their information on La Vacanza Travel because it brought us to a wrong destination (but hopefully we met someone who knew the correct adress and drove us at the right place) and the "receptionist " simply ignored me and choose to not answer me. They also gave me the worst equipment which was dry so just impossible to wear. It was humiliating that someone had to help me in front of everyone because it was dry and too small for me. Also the skipper was unfriendly. At least the positive thing is that the activity itself is nice
It was an unreal experience to swim with hundreds of seals through a kelp forest, including swimming with a particularly playful seal pup! I would definitely recommend this experience, it was one of the highlights of my trip to Cape Town.
We highly recommend going on this tour. It's rather short, and the team itself is not that enthusiastic, but we get it when you do 4 of these trips a day. They bring you out to sea, through the harbor where a few 'lazy' seals are already awaiting you. Once you arrive at the seal colony, thousands of seals are ready to say 'hi'. Once in the water, with your snorkel gear, they swim up to you to investigate. Most of them don't come too close, but the guides stay close in the water with the group just to be sure and to observe any unexpected behavior. Tip: rent a go pro to film and make photos during the trip and under water. We have amazing footage.
Hugely enthusiastic guides who were determined for us to have a good time, which helped one of us conquer their nerves. The hot chocolate and cookies after was a wonderful touch. Such a fun experience, would recommend.
I had such an awesome time. Everything was really well organised, saw so many seals, and our guide, Clemen, was awesome. He was so friendly and helped us spot so many seals, and taught me some interesting facts about their behaviour, too. Thanks so much!
