On this tour you are accompanied by a historian with a deep passion and knowledge of Wales. You will learn some Welsh, sample traditional Welsh food and learn about the ancient history and culture of Wales. Gareth, your guide is a fluent Welsh speaker and he will give you an insight into Wales that wouldn't be available with a standard tour operator.

South Wales is the most populated area of Wales and it is the area of Wales that is the most iconic around the world. This area includes neolithic sites, Roman remains, imposing Norman castles, industrial heritage, dramatic mountain scenery as well as beaches voted as some of the best in the world.The valleys have defined Wales with images of coal miners, rugby players, and male voice choirs. Since the demise of the coal industry the valleys have gone through some tough times but these resolute people still have a culture all of their own.

We had a WONDERFUL tour with Gareth! He was so knowledgeable and took us to 4 beautiful locations in South Wales. He was flexible with pick up and drop off and we had the best day with him. I would recommend this tour to anybody!

Very nice experience, nice route and great guide! Highly recommend it! The guide was very professional, helfpul, interesting and his van very comfortable. Really respectful of his clients and the general guide compared to other ones. His professionalism needs to be pointed out!

Gareth really knows his history, both ancient and modern. I loved learning not only about kings, castles, and monasteries, but also about the Welsh language and it's reemergence in Welsh education. The cost of admittance is not included in the tour, which is fine. I liked having over an hour at each stop, which was enough for me to see each edifice, but not quite enough to also visit the towns. I had thought that Gareth would walk us through the sites and share the history of them. While the audio guides included with the admittance are good, I usually prefer a live tour so I can ask questions and learn those odd details not usually included in pre-recorded guides. That said, I have no regrets regarding this tour. Overall, I recommend this tour. Gareth is knowledgeable, the sites are magnificent, and it is a great way to see quite a lot in only one day.

Absolutely amazing tour! Gareth is such an awesome guide and this tour is so much fun! We saw so many castles that were truly incredible (even in the pouring rain)! This tour is 100% percent worth it! Gareth talks about so many interesting things along the drive and really gets you involved in the true welsh life! We loved every minute!

It was simply amazing. I'm not joking, we went to Wales expecting to see medieval castles and the countryside of the country and we were not disappointed. Tintern Abbey was incredible beautiful, our guide knew all the history of the places and were really nice and informative, even gave us some traditional welsh waffles. I went there with my girlfriend during our eurotrip trough europe and we dont regret it, the best photos we took was from this tour, simply amazing. I can't recommend this tour enough, just go! You wont regret it. Cheers from a Brazilian Couple!
