Our guide Enzo was brilliant. Telling stories on the journey both fun and factual. We were in a small group of different nationalities and ages of which he made everyone feel welcome. He explained the itinerary of the day when and where to meet and if there were any changes. I had fractured my arm of which he was very aware of and helpfull. The tour was of the right length and we were able to see the countryside during the day. Highly recommended.

Great tour the guide Giueseppe was brilliant very knowledgeable about the area and even Catania itself and could answer any questions we had whilst telling us about Mt Etna etc. The wine/food tasting was great also in a lovely little village called Ragalna we got to try a wide range of things such as wine, olive oils, meats, cheeses and different spreads/jams me and my girlfriend both loved it!

Our guide was Moreno, and we had the most amazing experience on Mount Etna with him. He was a very kind, friendly, caring and funny guide. He was very enthusiastic and made sure that everyone in the group was enjoying themselves. I would highly recommend Etna Tribe, and specifically Moreno. He was very informative in providing lots of interesting facts about Mount Etna and he answered all of our questions.

Positives: The guide Giuseppe was friendly and personable. We waited at the wrong McDonalds and communication was smooth, and he managed to pick us up. Negatives: We booked expecting to hike. This was one of our main goals of coming to Sicily. When we reached the destination, the hike option was not promoted. Instead we were offered options which all required additional fees - Mountain bike riding, cable car and bus, ATV tour. There should be greater transparency, and the staff need to be trained to offer and promote the hike which is what we paid for. Overall I am disappointed we didn’t get to hike and we were sold another experience - we did the ATV. Had we been advised of the options in advance I wouldn’t have chosen this or the tour. Our family of four would have been better off getting a private driver and guided hiking tour. The tasting also felt like we were being sold to. It was around 2pm - well past lunch. I would rather be taken back for a decent meal, or have this included and added to the cost. Not just tiny samples when starving, and then having to pay a premium for more. Overall if you don’t take the hike this tour is essentially transport up and down the mountain. Make sure you are clear about this, and that the guide should be offering a hike as advertised. Then when they offer other options, it will feel like you have been fully informed, and not sold to.
