Overview

Our team of qualified and experienced instructors will guide you along the intertidal zone of our stunning coastline. Swim through huge sea caves, explore wildlife-rich rock pools, visit hidden and inaccessible beaches before taking the leap of faith from one of the many jump sites.

Our coasteering sessions run from a beautiful and unique venue in North Cornwall. The location offers a range of opportunities, explorations and experiences in a spectacular costal setting.

The sessions are tailored to meet the needs and abilities of each group with all safety equipment being provided. You must be over 10 years old and able to swim 50 meters unaided in order to take part.

All under 18’s must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

What Can You Expect?

Itinerary

Start your session by getting kitted up in to a wetsuit, buoyancy aid and helmet (you will need to bring shoes that you are happy to get wet). Then listen up to the safety briefing from the lead guide informing you of what to expect from Coasteering. Find out the do’s and don’t’s of Coasteering before venturing in to the sea. Then its time to explore our stunning coastline, get sloshed around by the sea and take the plunge on one of the many jumps. Smile… We may even get a snap of you!

  • Wetsuit, buoyancy aid and helmets are provided for you

Exclusions
  • You will need to bring some shoes that you are happy to get wet and some shorts to wear on the outside of your wetsuit.

AMAZING EXPERIENCE!!! Well worth the money. We had the best time coasterring at bossiney bay. Instructors were friendly, professional and shared lots of knowledge about the area, including wildlife. The tour included jumps, which I felt nervous about doing. The instructors were supportive and not pushy at all. I would recommend to all. We will definitely book again.

Unique experience to be able to do. The team were really friendly, supportive and was great at explaining everything. Good sized groups to do the experience with. Left with great memories and would highly recommend for anyone looking to do a once in a lifetime experience.

We were very excited to go to the beautiful Cornish coast and experience coasteering. We booked online with Freewave Surf Academy . The booking system was easy to navigate and the instructions and advice sent through were really helpful and clear. As parents of two children aged 10 and 12, we had a significant level of anxiety when booking a Coasteering experience as we had concerns the girls may be too anxious to fully enjoy this experience. All our anxieties were dispelled when we first met Robin owner of the company Freewave Surf Academy. Robin demonstrated his vast experienced with clear explanations, education around a range of Coasteering skills and gradually challenged us within and outside our comfort zones whilst fully incorporating us within the planning of each part of our adventure. Our girls are desperate to go again and were raving about all they experienced from scrambling over rocks, cave exploration, jumping off the rocks into the sea, learning to use the waves to help enter and exit onto the rock face and the joy and respect of being in the sea.

Fantastic family coasteering experience!!! Swimming, climbing, jumping and exploring caves was challenging and fun, and set at the right level for my 10 and 13 year olds who wanted to book again as soon as we had finished. Seeing a pod of dolphins made it extra special. Huge thanks to James and Alfie! My only suggestion would be to have the ability to have photos taken that could be uploaded on to your site so we could re live what was an amazing experience.
