A Dhow Cruise Dinner in Dubai has been a classic for many years running, however traditionally it has been done in the Creek. A new concept emerged with the building of a luxurious and stylish area – Dubai Marina. The old concept of the Dhow Cruise has been reinvented and remodeled to fit the Dubai Marina atmosphere and has quickly become a new classic.

One of the things that make the Dinner Cruise in Dubai Marina special is the views of the new Dubai Area that are really stunning at night. Dubai Marina is a really vibrant area with lots of coffee shops, restaurants, joggers and people enjoying themselves.

The dinner in the boat was said to start at 7 and finish 9pm, which was perfect for us (family with a baby). Instead, the boarding was completed at 9pm. We were standing there near Marina waiting for 2 hours straight (with a baby and grandparents). 10 minutes before the meeting time at the Marina one of La Vacanza Travel’s guides called me to tell me that the boat that we booked is “broken” and they have another one to provide us. So we got the boat that we didn’t want at the first place and since it was 7 us we didn’t want to leave it all and it was already 100% payed. The experience on the boat was catastrophic. Too crowded, food maybe nice but we didn’t even try it because no one was following the queue and many people used their own hand to take the food from the bowls there. No one was try to stop them. So we decided not to eat. Somewhere around 10pm (when we were supposed to be at the hotel sleeping) extremely loud music started playing and came a man dancing, that freaked out my baby and she started crying. The party was over when the boat stopped at around 11 pm. We went out hungry, frustrated that we payed for something like that. No one was expecting it to be such a bad experience as it was, unfortunately. I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone.

We were hoping to have a very memorable cruise dinner with friends unfortunately our experience turn to a nightmare. The food was cold. No one was there to insure guest respect the buffet line. Instead guest who went for second serving pushing themselves on the food line. What a mess. There should always have stuff present to monitor the buffet line..

We booked this dinner cruise as part of our recent (and second) visit to Dubai. We have been on a Dubai Creek dinner cruise before which ended up going along the canal with little to see. This time, having spent time around Dubai Marina during the day we were pleasantly surprised to find that this cruise took us all around the marina area with fabulous night views of the surrounding buildings. The trip did start a little late due to delays in being picked up from our hotel but the actual cruise itself lasted a good hour and a half which was plenty. The entertainment and buffet were good too so I would thoroughly recommend this cruise to anyone wanting to see the Dubai Marina by night.

Como último día en Dubái decidimos nuevamente a través de la web de Get Your Guide coger una cena con espectáculo en un barco que sale de la Marina de Dubái. Si hubiéramos cenado por ahí hubiera sido mejor. El paseo es bonito por que te da otra perspectiva de la ciudad, muy bonita de noche, pero el barco bastante cutre, la cena ponía que era Gourmet, nada de nada, un buffet corriente de excursión de carretera, el ambiente tristísimo, estábamos 6 personas cenando nada más, y el personal del barco ni caso, exceptuando los dos camareros que eran increíblemente amables. Para rematar un fotógrafo pesadísimo venga hacer fotos para luego venderlas. Muy muy pesado. Desde mi punto de vista no merece la pena hacer el paseo con cena.
