Sorry, I didn’t want to write a review at all but the driver kept asking us to write one several times, so here it is. I’m just being honest. First our tour guide from the company Raj/Rah texted us at night stating that the pick up time was at 1 am & then we explained to him that this is a day tour and not possible. He then texted me that he confused us with other tourists. As per website, the tour was supposed to start at 8 am but due to Ramadan, they told us that it will start at 12pm instead. The driver however told us he will be there between 12:30-1pm and came at 1:05pm. His driving was horrible & scary to say the least. He was texting on his phone and driving 140km/h in a 60 km zone. When we finally made it to Hatta, he dropped us off at the Museum & told us to meet him at the entrance when we are finished. As we walked out, he was nowhere to be found. There were no restaurants open, so we had no way of contacting him because we had no Wifi. In the meantime, we had no water to drink, while in the 37*C heat because we left our bags in his car. After an hour wait, we asked one of the workers at the Hatta Heritage Village if we could use his phone so we could call the driver. At that point, we couldn’t get through, then we called the travel agency who then was able to contact him. After that, he called and said he will be back after 5 min. Then, 30 min later, he finally came. In total, we waited 1:35min in the blazing sun/ heat for him, without water. His excuse was that that car he was driving had no papers and he was taken to the police station for it & was released when his company texted him a copy of the car registration. He then took us Kayaking ( which was lots of fun) & afterwards to Hatta Hill Park where we took some photos of the sunset. On the way home, we passed a very bad accident on the highway & at that point we told him that his driving was also horrible. At that point he was nice enough to slow down and drive “only” 20kmh above the speed limit. We asked him to drop us off at the Dubai Mall ( which was closer than our hotel because we hadn’t had the chance to eat, since we wasted 1 1/2 hrs waiting for him. Overall, the guy was nice but it was more like a personal driver than a Tourguide & he even explained to us in the end that there was nothing to talk about in regards to Hatta because there’s nothing to say compared to other tours he does (like Abu Dhabi for example). I would definitely NOT recommend this tour. We basically wasted 170$ for a driver. It would’ve been cheaper to rent a car. So this tour only gets a 1 ⭐️
