The second battle of the day took place here whre the British army defeated the Zulus.

The first battle of 22 January 1879 took place here where the Zulu regiments lead by Ntshingwayo kaMahole Khoza defeated Lord Chelmsford British army

The tour departs in the morning from Durban. The tour guide will pick up Guests from their hotel and head straight to Isandlwana for 3,5 hours drive.

Guests will be dropped off in the evening after the tour

The tour was excellent with a very knowledgable guide who brought the whole experience to life. The tour however was very long in excess of twelve hours and this has to be considered. However for those interested in the history of the Zulu wars the trip is well worth it.
