In this 90-minute learning and tasting experience, you will taste all the major styles of gin and learn the importance of tonic water and other mixers, while also touching on how to select the right garnish for each style of gin.

During the light-hearted session you will also learn how gin is made and how it came to be so popular.

Gin drinkers will love this 90-minute tasting masterclass in Staffordshire. Learn all about your favourite tipple and discover the secret to the perfect G&T!

Experiences take place at a pioneering gin school and microdistillery in Tittensor, Staffordshire. On arrival, you’ll be welcomed by one of their gin tutors and shown around the former schoolhouse, built in 1861 by the Duke of Sutherland. Over ninety minutes, you’ll sample several different styles of gin, including those produced on site. You’ll be taught to identify the flavours of various botanicals and pair these with the right tonic water, mixer or garnish. The school’s expert tutors will also touch on the history of ‘mother’s ruin’, and you’re welcome to ask as many questions as you like before the session concludes.

    Was given this as a present. What a fantastic time we had. Andrew was absolutely brilliant and his talk on gin from the early days to present was riveting. What he doesn’t know about gin is not worth knowing. His wife Marcia did the lunch which was also brilliant. We mixed the ingredients and left to infuse before using the pot still to ferment our very own bottle of gin. The experience lasted around five hours but it absolutely flew by. We tasted gins from his menu with 100 choices and tasted other gins throughout the day. We will definitely be back. Thanks Andrew & Marcia for a great time Steve & Tracy

    What a fantastic time we had at this venue ,Andrew was a mine of information ,im so sorry I never got his wifes name .We were treated like VIP s all day .What this guy does not know about Gin is not worth knowing.Brilliant full day ,we even stayed overnight in our Motorhome so we could have breakfast .The food we had was first class .Would reccomend going here no problem at all ,Well done to all at The Gin Jamboree .

    The building (an old school) lends itself perfectly to this experience. Beautifully set out and Andrew has the perfect informative and amusing delivery. He really knows his subject and is passionate about it. The gin tasted good too!!

    We had an excellent day. It was both educational and informative. Tasting the various gins and learning about the history was great, and making our own was good fun. The much needed lunch was very tasty, too! I can highly recommend the experience to Gin lovers, both old and new. Many thanks to Andrew and the team
