Peter, our tour guide had a brilliant sense of humour and was extremely knowledgeable about the history of the sites we visited.

While this excursion held a lot of promise, it ended up being subpar due to logistical aspects along with the group dynamic itself. The day is a 12 hour day, but 6+ hours of the day is spent sitting in a bus (1+ hour from Frankfurt to Heidelberg, 2.5+ hours from Heidelberg to Rothenburg, and nearly 2.5 hours back to Frankfurt). Essentially, half the time was riding in the bus, without much narrative while on the road. Once at each location, there was a lack of itinerary that made the time spent seem inefficient. While the tour guide was friendly, he was soft spoken and quiet, which made it hard to hear the information he was sharing. There could have been more information provided as well. Unfortunately, the overall experience fell short for us, especially given the price of the tour.

Boris was an awesome tour guide! So knowledgable and passionate about the area we visited; quite a historian plus gave great recommendations for restaurants, shops and sights to see. Really enjoyed the whole experience.

Thomas was a great guide giving us lots of history about each city and the countryside. The only drawback was there was not enough time to explore each town on our own. Each city is really better toured individually. We tried to schedule just Rothenberg, but we were cancelled out.

We had a great time. It was a wonderful way to see a couple of traditional German cities in a day. Thomas, our guide, was great and it was nice to have a very small group. I highly recommend.
