Well the tour was cancelled due to the lack of customers for the tour; however, I was offered a different tour to Cologne instead. It was pretty cool seeing all the sites and fellow travelers and football fans. The tour guide Willy was great and funny. Just for information (I didn’t know this at the time), but Frankfurt’s tour season kinda of ends prior to the end of October. The reason for a brief continuation of tours were due mainly of the NFL games being played in consecutive weeks in Frankfurt. Almost all the people on the tour were football fans from KC or Miami.

The tour we booked cancelled on us late the night before, when only two people left. Instead, we took an Uber to Wiesbaden, saw water-powered railway, Russian Orthodox Church, walked thru lovely Nerotal Park, lunched at Eden cafe, saw Kurhaus, and the Lutheran church. We had a wonderful day, but totally on our own, no thanks to the La Vacanza Travel tour.

Did not enjoy the tour guide or tour. A handful of things determined my 2 star review. The tour guide we had was the same as day prior. After the day prior tour when returning to drop off location he followed us to the restroom and as we were leaving asked us why we didn’t tip him. We told him we did not know we were supposed to tip. He was really pushy about the tip and confrontational. He made us very uncomfortable. So having him the next day made it awkward. The tour was disappointing. It really was the tour guide pointing out things as we passed by them and not stopping to really enjoy the towns, shops and so on. No time to sit and eat anywhere. We had to ask to use the toilets. Someone mentioned liking to see cathedrals so the tour guide took us to a few of them. That was the only thing we were able to explore but it was a fast few minutes in each cathedral. The tour guide was rude at times and a bit belittling. With all that said it made for a disappointment.

A very interesting private tour to two historic and picturesque towns not too far from Frankfurt. As my wife and I were the only tour partecipants, we were taken around in a limo, and had the driver/guide all to ourselves. He took us to visit the important sites, and we were also given free time to further explore any place that caught our fancy.

The guide was very uninformed about most of the monuments in Wiesbaden. Did not take us to Mainz. Almost crashed the car in a red light. He also made me pay for his drink in the Cofe shop he took us there. Save your money.
