This sightseeing tour allow you to discover Geneva’s most famous attractions, including the impressive fountain, Jet d’Eau. This is your opportunity to snap some pictures of the magnificent spray from the fountain.

Listen as your guide explains the importance of this city as a diplomatic and financial center, and pass through the district around the UN building.

Please note that the mini train is not operating in January, February, in heavy rain and during special demonstrations. In this case, the old town will be a walking tour.

we booked a trip to chamonix which includes the mont blanc. due to a strom all excursions were cancelled. we were promised to be reimbursed. despite several attempts and sending proof, full reimbursment was not made. badly planned and dishonest.

During our visit to Geneva we booked the bus to travel to Chamonix with key tours. We only paid for the bus return trip which we believe worked out cheaper than paying for the travel and tickets up front plus of course you never know what the weather will be like. I would highly recommend a trip to Chamonix which is a lovely, picturesque village in France. The journey only takes about 75 minutes. The bus leaves on time on both parts of the journey so don’t be late. No instructions are given so just remember to pick the bus up from exactly where you get dropped off. It’s worth paying for the mountain train which cost £33 each to see the amazing views and to visit the ice cave. This is only accessible via 521 steps! We didn’t do the cable car ride as the weather wasn’t good but this costs £60 each person. We went in May so there were no queues but in high season it would be very busy and then the advantage of paying for everything up front makes sense but out of season I would pay separately. A lovely day trip!

I have used La Vacanza Travel for a several years and this was the first mishap. I booked the day of, which was no issue, by calling La Vacanza Travel directly. What the agent failed to tell me was several details left out of the description. 1 Bring your passport. Your criss-crossing countries and the bus can get stopped at the border to have IDs checked. 2 The tour itself is only 2 hours, from 2-4pm. So if you take the early bus like I did, you will have a couple hours before the tour starts to shop or eat lunch. When the tour is over, you will have another 1 hour to yourself. 3 You are back in Chamonix at around 6pm. // THIS IS NOT A 12-HOUR TOUR!!! // The actual 2-hour tour itself was very good. Kimmie was the guide and she was great! But it was very frustrating and disappointing to find out the tour was only 2 hours, that I had a few hours on my own in an area of Geneva with not a lot of options, and that I would be back in Chamonix for dinner when I thought I wouldn't be back until 10pm.
