My time in Hong Kong this time was incomplete without a journey to the mountains up north. I decided to search for some day excursions that would fulfill my thirst and appetite for a steady but challenging hike.The climb to the summit of Ma On Shan in New Territories was strenuous at times but the panoramic view of Hong Kong and the harbor towards the top was breathtaking. I was able to enjoy the ascent as well as my time with Rory. He personalized the hike to tailor to my pace and preferences. My friends & I have done many many hikes with Wild Hong Kong and I can recommend all of them. Ma On Shan is beautiful and you go over the saddle so it's a great challenge and get lots of amazing views as a reward. They are all customized so you can go at your pace. We've also done a waterfalls hike, Suicide Cliff, Tai Po, Lantau. and Sai Kung. Just get out and have some fun - let Wild Hong Kong do all the planning. They make it really easy!
I did a sunrise hike with Rory which was brilliant, he was very down to earth and easy to get along with, it was like hiking with one of my friends at home. He had interesting facts about the area and showed me around an abandoned town at the trail head which was very cool. As a local it was great to get some local knowledge and tips from him 👌🏻 The hike itself was fairly tricky, quite an incline for the distance , but we were rewarded with great views from near the summit. Really enjoyed it
Great tour and the guide was very knowledgeable about the area. I would definitely recommend this hike for anyone looking for a bit challenging but great hike in Hong Kong!
