Cycle through the beautiful bays and valleys of North Lantau, with a 7-hour guided bicycle tour. Stop at Inspiration Lake (Disneyland) for a picnic lunch (included with your tour), and visit the old town of Tung Chung to discover one of Hong Kong's forgotten fishing villages. Then head to the airport to watch the sun set over landing planes. The path is along paved roads with minimal vehicle traffic and some beautiful views. This small-group tour is limited to a maximum of four people.

Meet your guide at Sunny Bay MTR Station (Exit A) at 1pm, where you'll be given a briefing for the day and time to get accustomed to your bike. Your guide will be with you for the duration of the day, pointing out notable sights and providing any assistance with bike maintenance you may need.

The route begins along the coastline of North Lantau, taking a turn south to visit Inspiration Lake, Disneyland, where you'll have a homemade picnic lunch while taking in the stunning lake views. Having enjoyed lunch, cycle along the coast of North Lantau to see bay views to your right and passing trains to your left. Witness first-hand the contrast of new and old Hong Kong as you pass some of Hong Kong's flagship infrastructure development projects. Then pay a visit to the old fishing village of Tung Chung.

Continue on to the man-made island of Check Lap Kok, the site of one of the world's busiest airports. Cycled parallel to the runway to a viewpoint where you can enjoy watching planes passing overhead, set to a golden sunset backdrop. Then continue the tour to Tung Chung metro station to conclude the outing between 7pm and 8pm.

We did a cycle tour with Andy from a Smooth Cycles, my daughters snd I met him at Pier 5 where we caught the fast ferry over to Cheng Chau Island. Andy gave us a bit of a history of Hong Kong in the way. Once on the island we were given our bikes, really comfortable and easy to ride. We visited Pak Tai Temple where we burnt incense sticks and had the opportunity to pray a wonderful experience. We visited the Community Hall where Andy explained about the Bun festival that they have on the island. We had the opportunity to go to a Souvenir Shop and shop for local handmade goods, Andy got us some local street food to try. We cycled to East Bay where we saw the damage made by the typhoon and the famous stone cravings. We went to Cheung Chau seafood and fruit and veg market where we saw the freshest seafood. Andy explained that people come and choose their seafood for restaurants to cook for them. We then cycled to West Bay where we got the local ferry back to the pier. Andy explained things along the way, we cycled through small streets and through the local neighbourhood. The cycling tour is geared for anyone who can cycle, it was about 6km some small uphill areas but generally flat and very enjoyable. Thank you Andy.

Booked a private tour with Andy and brought my two girls 10 & 13 along. It was a perfect way to enjoy the scenic countryside. Andy was great and all of us had a fantastic time. Definitely doable for kids around our kids age. Took about 4hrs with plenty of stops to take pictures and take in the sights of the surrounding area. Bikes were comfortable and meeting point was convenient. We would recommend to anyone looking for some outdoor activity.
