Meet your guide and driver at your Irkutsk hotel to start the day trip to Buryat Village - Ust-Orda.
Ust-Orda is surrounded by long ranges of hills from the West and the East, with the approximate height of hills being 700 meters. There is an extraordinary and amazing view. About 3km from the village there is a mountain called Bulen, which up until today is famous for its religious and sacred practices of the Buryat people.
The Buryat is one of the largest nationalities inhabiting Siberia. The Ust’-Ordinskiy region is famous for traditional Buryat culture which is handed down across the generations. They live in the Republic of Buryatia, as well as in the Aginskiy (Baikal) and Ust-Orda (Irkutsk region) districts. Ust-Orda District is interesting, because from generation to generation it is protected by the traditional culture of the Buryat.
The excursion will give you a chance to get acquainted with Buryat folklore, national games and shaman rites, as well as to taste the national dishes of Buryat cuisine, know the way of life of the locals.

You will be able to visit the Local Museum of Regional Studies (opened in 1944) where you will learn about the origin of Buryat people, their culture, world outlook, religion. The exhibits of the museum have no counterparts, they always attract tourists from different countries. These are objects of shaman cult, ancient coins, bride’s decorations and many other things.
During the lunch, you will have an opportunity to try traditional Buryat meals.
Transfer back to Irkutsk.
