105 countries and going

The tour delivered exactly what it promised and we had the flexibility of changing the program around a bit to accommodate the closed days of certain sites. Our guide Numan was excellent and very attentive. His knowledge of history is great, yet he made sure to ask if we wanted light, medium, or lots of explanations to match our preference. Numan was also nice enough to go with me to the pharmacy to get medicines when my daughter got sick. The driver was also very helpful and kept an eye on our belongings and our purchases. The only change I can think of is that it's probably better to just do the tour without a vehicle for the simple reason that most of the sites are in pedestrian areas and, for the others, it takes a long time to get through the traffic, so maybe the tram would be better.

I was looking for a private tour of 7 hours to visit Istanbul. After searching the web I called La Vacanza Travel and they found the best tour for me. My tour guide was Saban, he was so profesional!, he picked me up at the airport with a driver and made my short visit a very good experience. He was always very respectful with a very good sense of humor and he gave me all the historic information regarding the sightseeing. I totally recommend this tour operator in Istanbul!

Our guide was lovely. Kind, knowledgeable, informative. She ensured we proceeded at our pace, and involved us in choices with how we would cover the various sites over the 2 days. Would 100% recommend La Vacanza Travel and Cicek for this trip. It made it an unforgettable weekend in Istanbul.

Our tour through VIATOR with guide, Cicek Hekimgil, was a delight. We got to see all the mayor sights, and Cicek was very well informed and her English was excellent. We had lunch both days at her recommendation as well as dinner the night before. Couldn’t have been more satisfied.

Our guide,Kadir Kucukeren, arrived at our hotel right on time both days and gave us two very full days.
He was well prepared with a recommended order for the main building visits, along with a route and full history through each (particularly Topkapi Palace), all tailored to our questions and preferences. While we covered most of the principal sights the first day, when it came to the second we managed to wander off-piste to an extent and pick up some great insights into how the city had worked historically and how lives are still led, particularly around the Grand Bazaar. We finished with a boat tour along each side of part of the Bosphorus.
More expensive than some tours but flexible and informative and a great way to pack in as much as possible in two days in the company of a passionate, warm-hearted and humorous local.
