My family and I visited Istanbul and spent the three most wonderful days getting to know the city with Aykut. My mother has some mobility restrictions and really had her heart set on seeing some locations she had seen in movies. He was kind, caring, attentive and made sure she had the trip she has dreamt of. He took us to all of the main attrations and some off the beaten path locations. We can't to visit again and see more of the city with him.

I learned so much during the tour. Aykut is really knowledgable, and helpful. It is really nice to have all of the public transportation passes and museum tickets taken care of so we didn't have to figure it out and wait in lines.

We had a friend who reccomended Aykut. He is wonderful. He was very responsive when we communicated with him. He had wonderful information about the city and helped us to customize our trip to make it exactly what we wanted. He even helped us negotiate to buy some Turkish lamps. Aykuyt is very personable and knowledgable. He was a wonderfu guidel and now is a friend! :)

My family spent 8 days traveling around Turkey, all arranged through Aykut. All I needed to provide him with were the travel dates and he did the rest. Most of the reviews here are for the Istanbul 1-3 day private tour, but they can arrange extensive trips around Turkey for you too, inclusive of domestic flight tickets. Very convenient! Every aspect of the trip was well planned and executed, from airport/hotel pick-ups to meeting the different guides in Capadoccia and Izmir. All the guides were very knowledgeable and spoke excellent English. Well worth it to book a trip through Istanbul Local Guides and Aykut, 5 stars!

Our Istanbul trip has definitely been one for the books - so rich in culture, amazing food and people. And it has been much more memorable thanks to our private guide-turned-friend, Aykut Ayik! We will be back for sure, and there will only one person we will definitely call when we do - Aykut!
