The food was great but the conversation was even better. Erol has the typical tour guide factoids that you would expect but he also takes time to go in depth on tangential topics and give his opinions.

Our guide, Erol, took us to great places off the beaten track. Erol is very passionate about Turkish food, not only the dishes themselves but also the cultural context around how each one is to be enjoyed. It made for a very fun, interesting - and delicious experience. One word of caution: Come hungry, and don't eat too much at any stop, especially at the beginning - there's so much!!!

Wonderful experience! A must do...we got to taste so many varieties of food local to Istanbul. We wouldn't have known where to go without our local guide. He also filled us in on lots of local history too. Well worth the money spent and a great way to spend the evening.
