It was a wonderful day trying a variety of foods in Istanbul. The tour starts on the European side for breakfast but most of it was on the Asian side of the city. Which was really nice. Our guide was very knowledgeable about food as well as the history of Istanbul, which added to the experience. She was also very accommodating with the variety of food restrictions in our small group. She made sure everyone was able to enjoy the experience. We had a great time and ate a LOT of food! Even the items that we did not like (that pickle juice) added to the entire experience. Would do it again

We had a great tour with our tour guide Ali, who is one of the best tour guides I had so far. Excellent clear English, very easy to understand and communicate with even for me as a non-native English speaker (German). The tour is excellent designed and apart from food and food culture you also get a lot of sight seeing and a bit of exploring the Asia side of istanbul, which I would otherwise not have seen as I was on a short trip mostly focussed on the attractions in the old city. Highly recommended, best value for money of my entire Istanbul trip.

Ali was a fabulous tour guide! He shared his vast knowledge of Turkish food history, agricultural products, regional specialties, local food customs, secrets of how the beer trade gets around the advertisement ban, and so much more, with a sense of humor. Super personable! The food was varied and delicious. Do not eat breakfast before this tour, but do grab some coffee before the tour if you're a morning coffee person.

So many delicious options at a variety of shops with plenty of food to fill you up no matter your appetite. Our guide, Ali, added a lot of good info and context. Easily catered to the vegetarian in our group as well!

Food was tasty with good info about the food, many options at each stop, and a good number of stops (only a few shown in the pics)! Special shout out to Ali, who was warm, easy going, and knowledgeable.
