What a trip! We saw and learnt so much in such little time. Our guide Efe was wonderful and incredibly knowledgeable. We also had two wonderful drivers. As it was a 6 day trip, I will leave below a pros and cons list: Cons: - Our accommodation in Istanbul was a great location but quite run down, no facilities and some negative interactions with staff. - The tour includes a fair bit of driving - but with beautiful views' - Our shuttles to and from the airport were a bit difficult. I believe this was outsourced. We were dropped in Pamukkale at 2:30pm and instructed to wait until 4pm for our shuttle to the airport. Due to another difficult customer, we had to wait in the shuttle outside someone's hotel for over 30 minutes. This meant our shuttle ran 30 minutes late to the airport- lucky our flight was delayed. In Istanbul, the shuttle drivers we had got road rage in the traffic and kept break checking and swerving other cars. Pros: - Most accommodation was premium/high end (except one place as above) - Excellent customer service team who answered all our questions and provided round the clock information. - Sooo many sights! Also, myself and my partner are in our 20's on this trip, everyone else was well over 50 which we didn't expect. It wasn't an issue for us but if it is for you just be aware of that when booking.

We were promptly picked up from Izmir airport by Mr Riza our tour guide who spoke very good English. On our way to Ephesus, we visited the temple of Artemis. Nothing much to see here except a lone column! In Ephesus the tour came alive with excellent commentary by Mr Riza and the wonderful architecture and planning in this Greco-Roman city. St Paul's stay in Ephesus and the incident in the ampi-theater brought the Bible alive. After an sumptuous lunch, we visited the Ephesus museum ( at our own cost) where the statues of Artemis are displayed. The ride up the hill to Virgin Mary's house was great. This place is serene and very well maintained. Overall a very informative and excellent tour thanks to Mr Riza and Tour Altikum.
