Lori was our fantastic knowledgeable Guide for the day & met us outside the cruise terminal. She was with my friend & I all the way on the drive to House of the Virgin Mary then onto Ephesus. Lori allowed us time at the House of the Virgin Mary - nothing was rushed so a completely relaxed tour with as much time or as little as you wanted. On the short drive to Ephesus Lori explained the vast history of Ephesus & a little about Turkey itself. Lori is clearly an experienced Guide with her vast knowledge & is superb. We then went onto a local ‘farm/community where we had a delicious lunch -cold meze & shown how rugs/carpets are made by local women & of course we had the obligatory ‘rug sell’ but nothing is forced on you & we just embraced all of the wonderful experience drinking the delicious apple tea which I later bought back at the port. This was a fabulous experience so much so I’ll be doing it again in September with my husband when we return on our next cruise as he now wants to experience this fantastic place. We had a great day in Ephesus. The tour was awesome, from the house of Virgin Mary, Temple of Artemis, Terrace Houses, Ephesus, and Sirince Village. We also saw an interesting silk demonstration at a silk carpet workshop. The guide was very knowledgeable, friendly and had a great personality. We would highly recommend this company.
Our tour guide, Dilek, was truly knowledgeable, very experienced, extremely personable and provided immense flexibility for our intimate group's needs.
Great guide. Lots of information and friendly. Would definitely hire a private guide in the future. Just be aware that as is typical in Turkey, the guide may try to sell you on stops to factories where you will be sold hard to buy their items. A little like the hagglers outside Haifa Sofia trying to lure you into their rug shops in the city. It’s easy to take a hard pass there but a little trickier with a guide you’ve been spending all day with. Just have your answer ready ahead of time.
Wonderful time in Ephesus, pick up at the airport on time and vehicle is in a very good condition. Very good service from both Guide tour and driver. Not disappoint. will use in the future and highly recommended.
