Located in Jalan Lapangan Banteng Utara, The Cathedral built in gothic style dates back to 1891. It has a high tower with high windows decorated with glass paintings. Inside the church are 3 altars that together form a semi-circle. It also has a beautiful old altar that reflects sound like a conch shell.

Istiqlal Mosque in Jakarta, Indonesia is the largest mosque in Southeast Asia and the sixth largest mosque in the world in terms of worshipper capacity. Istiqlal, which means “Independence” in Arabic. Located in the city center, almost opposite the National Cathedral, the Mosque is also meant to be a symbol of peace and religious tolerance. (Istiqlal Mosque is closed every Friday, you can see from the outside only)

To close the trip today, we will visit the oldest port in Jakarta, the port that witnessed the heyday of the Netherlands when it controlled the entire spice trade in Indonesia. Until now, the port is still operating for Domestic Shipping with Traditional Phinisi wooden Boats that are neatly arranged and anchored in the Port.
