We had an amazing trip with David and highly recommend this tour. We are a family of 5 with kids ages 15, 12 and 10. David, who has a PHD in archeology, is incredibly passionate about what he does and has incredible knowledge of Israel, archeology, history and all things Israel and beyond. He was able to relate to everyone and keep the kids interested and engaged. He was careful about everyone’s comfort, helped with tons of photos and was a lot of fun!

We were on a tour with David, a group from the University of Chicago studying and touring Israel. David gave us a tour of the Caesarea National Park. The tour went between The Roman theater, The reef palace, Archaeological Park and ended in The Old City and Port (with delicious meal!!). It stretches chronologically from the era of the second temple and the rule of the emperors in the Roman Empire up to the Middle Ages and during the Crusaders. The tour was fascinating and answered our two main requests: A. To be suitable for undergraduate and graduate students. B. To be interesting and not remain at the "dry" academic details. This is a challenging task for any tour guide, and we were happy that David was able to combine our two requests with great success. The students as well as the accompanying professors came back with a very positive experience. We are highly recommending Israel in Color and David’s tours.

David organized a great tour that was informative and interesting to all in our family, ranging from age 9 to 83. David is not only a licensed tour guide, but has a PhD in archaeology, which allows him to provide more depth and detail than a standard tour guide would. We definitely recommend!

I can’t say enough about the fabulous tours David Gurevich from Israel in Color provided for us. I had been to the same places many years ago with another guide, but never did they go into such amazing detail as he did. He is a very astute person and can read his clients well. We had places we said we wanted to see, but after coming to know us he gave us alternate choices of where we might want to go, this place instead of that etc. I think because his in-depth base of historical and archaeological knowledge he could change plans effortlessly, in doing so, it became a very personalized experience. As an archeologist you might feel he would be too technical but, he related the history in such a way it seemed more like an enjoyable story and not just a factual tour of history. He is very thorough with facts supported by illustrations, and he even read excerpts from the bible that were pertinent to where we were. He made everything we were seeing come alive. If I do get a chance to go back to Israel, I hope he still is giving tours because I can’t imagine a better tour guide than him.

This was a great tour for our group of 10 family members, it was very informative and interesting. Our guide David was very knowledgeable in history and all the places we visited, answered all of our questions, and helped us arrange travel and hotel accommodations in another city that we needed. It was a wonderful day!
