It is home to rare and endangered birdlife. The Kadamakkal reserve forest is a part of the sanctuary. Pushpagiri is the highest peak in it.

I had winderful experience staying in the cottage of silent valley amidst coffee garden. Trip to Abbey Falls, Taal Kaveri, Raja Seat were really njoyable. A little far, Irruppu falls was an outstanding experience. Do not miss these places atleast when you visit Midikeri, Coorg
