Mananchira Square
Mananchira Square, a park complex surrounding the lake was opened in 1994. Previously the Mananchira Square was known as Mananchira Maidanam (Playground) and was famous for football. Several football tournaments were conducted here. The Mananchira Maidanam was also famous for the religious activity called Mananchira Ayyappan Vilakku. The Mananchira Maidanam was transformed and named as Mananchira Square

Street, abbreviation for Sweet Meat Street, also known as Mittai Theruvu, is a shopping street located in Kozhikode, The history of SM Street dates back to time of the Zamorin when the ruler invited Gujarati sweet meat makers to set up shop in the city and accommodated their shops just outside the palace walls.

Kozhikkode Lighthouse is a defunct light in the Kozhikkode District of Kerala. It was constructed in 1907. The first lighthouse was constructed in 1847 at a height of 33 meters (108 ft). The current tower is 15 meters (49 ft) and is painted white. Kozhikode or Calicut lighthouse is automated, and an LED flasher apparatus is in use.

Tradition attributes a long antiquity to the Christian church in Calicut. But available historical records point out that there was a church in Calicut as early as 1498 with Fr. Pedro De Covilham as parish priest. Neither the place nor further particulars are known.
In 1513 we hear of a treaty between the Portuguese and the Zamorin of Calicut in which the former were allowed to have a factory and a chapel in Calicut. Whether this chapel is the same as the church of 1498 is not clear. But it is certain a church existed in Calicut in 1516 with Fr. Diego Moraes in charge. This church was destroyed in 1525.
In 1596 a church was built in Calicut in the present spot and this was successively administered by Jesuit priests: famous among whom was Fr. Hanxladen – amos Padri – till the next treaty with the Zamorin in 1724.

Mishkal Mosque also spelled Mithqal Mosque is a medieval mosque located in Calicut on Malabar Coast, southern India. The mosque, one of the few surviving medieval mosques in Kerala, is regarded as an important cultural, historical and architectural monument of Kerala.
