Mu Ko Ang Thong consists of a group of small 42 islands and located in Surat Thani Province. This national park is protected area. This place is good for snorkeling, hiking, sea kayaking and diving.

Stop At: Ko Wua Talap Island, Ang Thong Thailand

Ko Wua Talap Island or Sleeping Cow Island, is the only island that has the park headquarters as well as tourist information center. This island has two beautiful beaches, both located at opposite ends of the island.

Emerald Lake called Talay Nai, is one of the most popular location of the 42 small islands. The Emerald Lake is surrounded by immense limestone walls and lush green foliage.

The guide was mostly angry and shouted. A family was taken by the current and the mother on the boat was crying because she was scared, but the guid only shouted that it was not her responsibility and that she said not to swim there. They did not know how to swim and was wearing life jackets. Even when the mother was crying she just shouted that it was their fault. When we tried to ask questions but she knew very little English so she just walked away. She was angry, did not listen to customers and shouted unnecessarily much. Would not recommend, but other than that the landscape was beautiful.

Blue Star Tours was amazing. The cave kayaking was everything I had hoped it would be. The group was a larger group, but the tour boat was accommodating for everyone. The tour stopped at three different sites to explore; we got to see the green lagoon, and they served lunch and some small snacks. The tour is fairly active and is best for people under 6’4, under 250lbs and those who are able-bodied. There were caves where you had to lie down in the kayak to fit through the cave opening. It was truly amazing; would absolutely recommend.

Booked 3 days in advance theough Tripadvisor, but the booking was cancelled 24hrs later. There was no explanation or details of any kind. Refund expected to come within 3 days.

It took us one hour of bus and then 2 hours of boat to go to the kayak place. The German group was the preferred one because the guide was German. Nobody mentioned that we could injure our hands under the rocks and we had all our hands in blood ... otherwise kayak was good !

Fabulous day. Well organised and thoroughly enjoyable. Never been sea kayaking before but we are now both hooked. Unfortunately I don't have any photos to share just now. Really cannot recommend highly enough.
