Overview

Be among the first few who dive in the waters of Pandan Pandan bay. Relatively new leisure yet largely unexplored dive sites. It is suitable for rookie divers to widen their skills while enjoying the unique fringing reef. For seasoned dive enthusiasts, Pandan Pandan bay is also a promising excursion for macro divers. 

What Can You Expect?

Itinerary

0700hrs   Pick up from City Hotels

0820hrs   Pick up from Outskirt Hotels and depart for Kota Belud, a journey offering a scenic view of paddy fields, villages and a picturesque sight of Mount Kinabalu from different perspectives

0930hrs   Arrive at Usukan Cove Lodge, the gateway to Pandan Pandan Island. Enjoy the local refreshment served at Cove Café

0945hrs   Gear up, program & safety briefing will be conducted by in-house Dive Master

1000hrs   Boat ride for 1st Shore Dive / Boat Dive

1130hrs   2nd Boat Dive at different dive sites

1230hrs   BBQ lunch at Pandan Pandan Recreation Area

1330hrs   Additional 3rd Boat Dive (Optional – with a fee) or reef snorkeling around the bay area

Extra Activities: Coral Transplanting Briefing & Demo, Traditional Net Fishing “Merambat” Demo, Kayaks are available for use

1430hrs   Return boat ride to Usukan Cove Lodge to freshen-up and get changed, local refreshment will be served before your journey back

1530hrs   Depart back to your respective hotels

1630hrs   Estimated arrival at Outskirt Hotels

1700hrs   Estimated arrival at City Hotels

This excursion didn’t meet our hopes- they had us do an intro course when we had our advanced open water cert. They never asked us about our level. No snacks as promised in the write up, although the lunch was yummy so it wasn’t like we starved!
