The Local agent has goofed up for sure. They have sent a Car and Driver (freelancer)who was good in driving but have no experience as a Guide. He just dropped us near the city entrance and told us to fend for ourselves. When I asked about water, facilities for Toilet and entrance tickets he seems to have no clue. We paid for entry into the museum (Stadthuys) ourselves. when we were about to return the driver (may be the agency as an afterthought) sent 2 tickets costing MYR 30 each for the river cruise. On return he provided us with 2 bottles of water. The driver also confirmed that he has no experience as a Guide. we have done many trips with La Vacanza Travel in Australia and Borneo, Vietnam etc.; and generally had decent experience; but this was not only bad but frightfully expensive for the services provided. It should cost only half what we have paid. (basically, Taxi fare) we definitely felt shorted by the agent. Hope you will take up with agent and come back.
