Overview

Visit a local wet market before learning to prepare an authentic home-style Malaysian meal. These classes are private and conducted in English, with a minimum of 1 person and a maximum of 4 persons. All participants will have their own work stations equipped with the necessary apparatus & ingredients. For lunch, sit down at the dinning table to enjoy what you have cooked together and even indulge in a glass of wine or beer if you fancy.

What Can You Expect?

Visit a local wet market(except Mondays) and have local breakfast at one of the food stalls

    This class was such a great experience. It felt like learning and cooking together with a family friend at a way that allowed me to absorb the information. I was able to ask all the questions I wanted and was able to see how the ingredients contributed to the final dish. Cant wait to try these recipes back home! Thanks again!

    So I spent a few days in KL and got to do some amazing tours sightseeing and eating, with the latter being the most enjoyable part for me as the food in Malaysia is absolutely delicious and so diverse. This is why I will say that having had the opportunity to cook and eat with the wonderful Malaysian family that hosted me in their beautiful home was the highlight of my trip! Besides cooking and eating together, we got to learn about each other’s cultures and exchange ideas and philosophies about culture, food and society which made the whole experience that much more enthralling. Thank you Kingston for curating this awesome experience which I highly recommend. See you guys next time I’m in Malaysia! ✌🏾 JD

    I spent a very enjoyable morning with Patricia and her two young daughters. It ranks as one of the best cooking classes out of the many I have attended. The class provided expert hands-on tuition, practical recipes and a very friendly homely vibe. Highly recommended for both inexperienced and experienced cooks. By the way, the food eaten together at the end was delicious!

    We booked the cooking class with Pat and Kingston through La Vacanza Travel and it was a wonderful experience! Comms beforehand were frequent, concise and thorough so we met on the agreed date and time and at the place. Pat, Kingston and family took us to a local street market to purchase the ingredients to be used and have a local breakfast which was delicious. Returning to Pat's and Kingston's home our family of 4 split into 2 pairs and we cooked Nasi Lemak and Tong Yuen. It was hand-on and great fun, with loads of photos shared between our families. After cooking we sat down to share our culinary efforts between our families, sharing stories about our cultures - a great day and I thoroughly recommend Pat's and Kingston's cooking class.

    This was a great experience. The entire time was memorable. The hosts were exceptionally kind and knowledgeable about the culture and food. My whole family learned so much and had fun. This visit is a must do!
