Those passport control things (round trip) took about 2-3 hours in total. Ancient Wall of Polycrates and Archaeological Museum of Pythagoreion are interesting.

The actual island is very pretty but there is not a lot to do other than the few shops, restaurant and beach. You can get a 30 min bus into the main town but by the time your in the island there isn’t much time. In regards to travel, it is a ball ache. What we thought would be a 1hr 30 min ferry over ended up taking 4hours because of passport control and boarder control on both sides. If you don’t mind spending time queueing at least 3hrs in total then you will enjoy it.

I read all the negative reviews about the delays, but had the trip booked and it was too late to cancel, I’m writing this review purely based on my experience at the Greek ferry terminal and if I could give it minus 5 stars I would. The ferry itself was absolutely fine but as we departed the ferry everyone made their way to the terminal but since there was a big queue we just took photos and took our time. I wished we had got of the boat first, as the wait is awful. The queue is very long and is not moving at all, (I’m waiting as I write this) I’m sure the staff must be asking everyone’s life story as they’re taking so long with each person. The wait certainly cuts into your day. It’s hot, we’re hungry and we will not have much time now, so think about it before you book. The staff here don’t seem to care at the annoyed people queuing. It’s now 11am and the queue is as long as it was when we first entered the terminal. Wish me luck!

Spent 5 hours travelling before emerging on Greek island due to time spent passing through Turkish customs and ferry departing when it wanted or full (still loading 45 mins after departure time). Greek customs a joke!! And then repeated on reverse leg of journey but Greek customs better. Pretty small fishing port but very little to do or see. Small beach that is monopolized by frontline restaurants. Didn't get the chance to go further afield due to time constraints of 1 day trip. Day total cost for family of 4 was in the region of £300 (300€/6000lira) including taxi's, ferry, food and drinks. Spend you money elsewhere and get more enjoyment!!

We were told we would have 7 hours on a beautiful island…. The day started with having to get up very early only to picked up half an hour later than we were told and missed breakfast at our hotel. Instead of a long day on a beautiful Greek island we spent around 3 hours of the day queuing at passport control in both Turkey and Greece, but Greece was worse and it was so hot! My 5 year old son was losing the will to live! Once we finally left passport control in Greece there was nothing to do! Yes we had a lovely lunch, shops were closed and the beach wasn’t in walking distance so ended up on some horrible dirty rocky tiny beach. The boat trip itself was nice and we were lucky to see dolphins, but after a long day of queuing we really didn’t achieve anything, my advice would be do not bother!!!
