Day 2: Tour to Center & West Part of Bali

Taman Ayun Temple or Pura Taman Ayun is a magnificent family temple of Mengwi empire.
This is one of the most visited temples in Bali, both local and foreign tourists.
It's located in Mengwi Village, Mengwi sub-district, Badung regency, and about 18 Km north side of Denpasar town.
Taman Ayun Temple is also one of six royal temples in Bali making it very important both spiritually and historically.

Pura Ulun Danu Beratan, is a major Shaivite water temple on Bali, Indonesia.
The temple complex is located on the shores of Lake Bratan in the mountains near Bedugul. Water temples serve the entire region in the outflow area; downstream there are many smaller water temples that are specific to each irrigation association.
Built in 1633, this temple is used for offerings ceremony to the Balinese water, lake, and river goddess Dewi Danu, due to the importance of Lake Bratan as a main source of irrigation in central Bali.
The 11-story Pelinggih Meru in the complex is dedicated to Shiva and his consort Parvathi.
Buddha's statue is also enshrined in this temple.
This temple is also called as Bali temple on the lake because it looks like it is floating when the Bratan river water rises Lake Bratan is known as the Lake of Holy Mountain due to the fertility of this area. Located 1200 m above sea level, it has a cold tropical climate.

Jatiluwih village in Penebel District, north of Tabanan, has paddy fields following the contours of terraced land against the background of spellbinding Mount Batukaru and Mount Agung use traditional Balinese irrigation known as Subak, Bali's community-based water control management system. Lies at an altitude of 700 meters, the cool atmosphere of more original beautiful Jatiluwih. Jatiluwih is one of the five rice terraces that describe the "Subak" water management system which has gained acknowledgment from UNESCO as part of the world's cultural heritage

Tanah Lot means "Land in the Sea" in the Balinese language. Located in Tabanan, about 20 kilometres (12 miles) North West of Denpasar, the temple sits on a large offshore rock which has been shaped continuously over the years by the ocean tide.
Tanah Lot is claimed to be the work of the 16th-century Dang Hyang Nirartha. During his travels along the south coast he saw the rock-island's beautiful setting and decided to rest there. Some fishermen saw him, and bought him gifts.
The temple is one of seven sea temples around the Balinese coast. Each of the sea temples was established within eyesight of the next to form a chain along the south-western coast. In addition to Balinese mythology, the temple was significantly influenced by Hinduism. At the base of the rocky island, venomous sea snakes are believed to guard the temple from evil spirits and intruders.

The statue is designed to be one of the world’s largest and highest monumental statue in the world. Total height of the statue is 120m, consists of 24 segments and formed with 754 modules made of copper and brass coated patina acid.

Stop At: Uluwatu Temple, Jl. Raya Uluwatu Southern part of Bali, Pecatu 80361 Indonesia
The Uluwatu temple is built at the edge (ulu) of a 70-meter-high (230 ft) cliff or rock (watu) projecting into the sea. In folklore, this rock is said to be part of Dewi Danu's petrified barque. This temple is inhabited by monkey. Though a small temple was claimed to have existed earlier, the structure was significantly expanded by a Javanese sage, Empu Kuturan in the 11th Century. Another sage from East Java, Dang Hyang Nirartha is credited for constructing the padmasana shrines and it is said that he attained moksha here, an event called ngeluhur ("to go up") locally. This has resulted in the temple's epithet Luhur
