Great surf school on Kuta Beach. Took a beginners group lesson for 2.5 hrs a little over IDR 400k with two other people. If you walk along the beachwalk you'll find many stalls offering a 2 hr lesson for 200k. I chose to go with Odysseys despite the price difference for the private locker to store my belongings, towel service, cold water station in their office, and showers (albeit the water pressure was on the low side) with a changing room. If you don't have a rash guard or wetsuit, they provide you with a rash guard. Safety for me was a top priority, so I really appreciated that on top of your instructor there was another lifeguard watching out for their students and the soft top boards have soft rubber fins to minimize getting cut from the board. The beach was also great because the sand is soft and there's no coral to get cut on either! For those of you wanting pics, they have a photographer who takes several pictures during your session which you can purchase for idr 100k.
Took one day novice lesson with my son. Since my son under 12yr. old, he took private 1-on-1 lesson while I took group lessons for adult (Webpage says maximum 4 person and my case was three people. Facility provided free-rentals of rash guard, towel, shower-space. Some place mentioned about free sun block but it was not provided. We get there with mini bus pick up. One of customer made reservation for pickup did not shown up. As a novice, I guess the school is providing very normal and gentle lessons, if you are experienced learner you might able to comment about quality of the lesson. No matter what for me as a novice instruction was quite easy and smooth. In the middle of the class when you have a break they provide chilled bottled water. So in general, the lesson course is quite recommended for beginners. Unfortunately shower space a bit small and water pressure level is not that strong enough to have relaxed shower. Recommended for whom dare to spend a half day for surfing adventure. Also school located very heart of Kuta beach, so you can easily find other famous spot like shops, restaurants.
