Itinerary
Mount Batur is an active volcano, standing at 1717 meters (5633 feet) above sea level. You will be picked up and brought to the base of the mountain where you’ll meet your guide and receive a short safety briefing.
From Toya Bungkah village, you’ll begin your hike before dawn under a million stars and trek safely at a pace that suits your group. At the summit you’ll watch the sky turn from dark purple to sapphire blue, burnt orange and pink as the sun rises over the eastern ocean. Daylight will reveal panoramic photo opportunities of the volcanic valley and holy Mt. Agung, Mount Abang and Mount Rinjani all the way in Lombok.
A breakfast with coffee, tea & water will help prepare for the trek back down the mountain viewing recent lava flows and the volcanic landscape. You’ll experience beautiful scenery throughout your trek with views of crater lake, black lava, and the beautiful flora & fauna of the Balinese countryside.
Back at Toya Bungkah village we stop at a Balinese Coffee Plantation where you can try Luwak coffee, the rarest; most expensive coffee in the world. From here, we’ll take you back to your hotel in time to enjoy the rest of your day by the pool or on the beach.
