The people of Tenganan are skilled in the unique technique of weaving, called the double ikat, where the belief in the magical power of the fabric is essential in bringing out the beauty of the ikat cloth.

Wir hatten drei tolle Tage mit unserem Fahrer Raka. Pünktlich wie abgemacht wurden wir in unserem Hotel abgeholt. Die Panne während der Fahrt mit der Klimaanlage wurde so schnell wie möglich behoben und wir hatten keine Umstände deswegen (Gute Reaktion des Chauffeurs). Wir konnten an jedem Ort solange schauen wie wir wollten und Raka konnte uns einiges erklären zu den Sehenswürdigkeiten und zu kulturellen Fragen die wir auf der Reise hatten. Er erklärte uns die Früchte die wir am Markt kauften und zeigte uns wie man diese auch richtig isst (Das sind kleine nette Details). Die Verständigung auf englisch war sehr gut. Schön fand ich, das sich unsere Fahrer die Zeit nahm uns auch in anderen Fragen zu helfen, zum Beispiel wenn wir etwas spezielles in einem Laden suchten, oder einen Geldautomaten benötigten. Vielen Dank für die tollen drei Tage auf Bali!
