DO NOT EVEN CONSIDER this tour. The guide has nothing planned. When he arrived 20 mins late the 6-10 vendors were not even open. He proceeded to say well it’s not open so how about I show you the beach. Are they serious this is a good tour! We have attended many food tours around the world and this is simply appalling

Do not ever consider this tour! The guide told us it was an additional $20 USD to pick us up for in the same suburb as the tour! After meeting at the pint the guide wasn’t there and arrived 15-20 min later the market was basically closed. I have a full video. Do not even consider it.

Maybe we went on wrong night or maybe wrong time but we turned up around half-six looking forward to our tasty local dinner at the night market ??????? It was about 5-6 food stalls with hardly any seating in what looked like a car park. Love night markets and been to them all over Asia as partner loves buying gifts and food always amazing but SORRY THIS IS NOT A NIGHT MARKET !!!! But it was a waste of £3 taxi fare to and from hotel.

It was exactly what I expected. Roy, my guide was very nice and helpful. He even carried my leftovers. 🥰 The market is quite small and would be easy to navigate without a guide. It was nice to have someone there to tell me what ingredients are in the food though.

This is NOT a dinner or food tour. This is a guy whose kid takes you in his car to a small food stall market. He has little knowledge of the food on offer other than it is “very famous.” He offers no recommendations or organisation. You can just walk and decide on your own what to get - he’ll talk to his kid. When we realised there was no actual food included in our $60+/each “food tour,” we said we just wanted to go back to our hotel. He was upset, bought us some Bintang and Pringles, and drove us in silence back to the hotel (45 minute drive). Live and learn, read reviews and small print.
