Overview

Catching your first wave is an experience you'll never forget, and knowing the correct technique will have you up on your feet and surfing in no time. You can choose from a range or courses all designed to improve your surfing whatever level you're at. Our coaches will assess your ability and show you how to improve, whether it's catching more waves, perfecting your bottom turn or faster cutbacks.From theory in the classroom to practice of the beach, our surfing syllabus covers everything you need to make the most of your surf sessions and get you stoked.

In a set of 2hours each course period of theory, practice and practical for beginner or review lesson.

What Can You Expect?

Itinerary

You will firstly take about 15 mins theory lesson in the class room, and the you will learn the basic of how to control your board on the sand, as well as practice your jump on there.

Then you will go into the water, and out instructor will push you into your first waves!

  • Not wheelchair accessible
  • Not recommended for travelers with back problems

  • No heart problems or other serious medical conditions
  • Travelers should have a moderate physical fitness level
  • The schedule of the lesson will be confirmed one day in advance
  • Your transportation is included (around Badung and Denpasar area)
  • You only need to bring your boardshort/ bikini, we will cover everything else
  • This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund
  • This tour/activity will have a maximum of 20 travelers

I tried a few instructors with different companies while in bali, but finally got Budi as my instructor from Rip Curl. He was very patient with me and made me feel safe in the water even with the waves crashing down on us. I made progress and I’m happy with the experience. Big thumbs up and definitely will enroll into Rip Curl again on my next trip.

These guys are the best! Rey, Budi and Namang were so helpful, funny, and we finished four days of surfing very confident and loving it. Definitely recommend!!

Really good communication via WhatsApp prior to lesson, driver picked up on time and was very friendly and chatty. Arrived to the lesson, given strong cream for the face and allowed to dip in sea before lesson on the beach. Moved to the sea to practice; four of us and two instructors helping us. They also had a photographer on the beach taking pictures. Photos 350k/pp but they are willing to do deals for larger groups. They email digitalis over to you very quickly. Things to bear in mind; Public changing rooms and toilets. The shower is quite literally a hose pipe hooked up - but does the job well! The other thing is the men were offered rash shirts. In hind sight the girls wish we had asked for them too as we got very badly sunburned during the activity despite waterproof strong spf sun cream

I liked positive approach, advice about first steps to surfing. Also the backround was OK (showers, cabines for cloth change, reception). It is possible to pay by credit card and you can buy pictures from your lesson. I would recommend prolonging the opening hours as they close at 5p.m which was too yearly for me.

We asked to join a beginner group lesson but on arrival we found out we had been booked a private 1hr lesson (instead of the much cheaper group 2hr lesson). It was our first time surfing. Our instructor's English was far from good, we were taken to a reef break that probably wasn't the most suitable place for two beginners. We spent the whole class battling to paddle out and had only 2 attemps at catching a wave each. We went to another school the next day and had a much better experience.
