Admire architectural masterpieces such as "Villa Amalia Bernocchi" in Empire style, "Villa Carlottina Margherita" in Liberty style, "Villa Excelsior Niobe" in Castellano style, "Villa Vignolo Domus" and the most famous "Villa Pallavicino".
Sailing away from the coast of Stresa, move in the direction of the Hermitage of Santa Caterina del Sasso, which perched on a sheer rock face overlooking the lake is undoubtedly one of the most evocative scenarios of Lake Maggiore. Take unique photographs and enjoy a tour of the lake outside the classic itineraries but no less fascinating and rich in history.
Stop At: Pallanza, Pallanza, Verbania, Lake Maggiore, Piedmont
Already a destination for elite travelers, such as painters and poets in search of inspiration, Verbania, "garden on the lake", is one of the most evocative places overlooking Lake Maggiore. Capital of the province of Verbano-Cusio-Ossola, it was born from the union of the industrial and residential area of Intra and some neighboring hamlets lying on the shores of the Borromeo Gulf.
It is one of the places where tourism and culture are most alive, equipped and cared for, it looks like a balcony from which to enjoy splendid views of the lake, such as Villa Giulia or Villa Rusconi Clerici. In this area there are some of the most fascinating gardens and parks in Italy, whose splendor and perfect state of maintenance highlight the coexistence between the fabulous lake atmospheres. The three main monuments to visit are located in the Pallanza area: Villa Giulia, Villa San Remigio and Villa Taranto.
