Overview

The Porto Selvaggio kayak trip is our most popular trip, suitable for those who have never paddled. Included in the price is the SEA KAYAK COURSE FOR BEGINNERS guided by a 2nd level sea kayak instructor of the Italian Canoe and Kayak Federation. Along the way we will show you hidden caves and crevices, all to explore! We will pass under the Tower of S. Maria dell’Alto, along one of the highest coastal stretches in this area. Here are the most beautiful caves of the route. This trip is an exceptionally exciting and memorable trip down the coast which allows you to experience the transparent waters of the beach at the end of Porto Selvaggio Bay. You can also take a walk in the pine forest to shelter from the heat, take pictures and immerse yourself in the cold waters of the spring. During the kayak trip, if the sea allows it, we will enter the beautiful Green Cave!

Stop At: Porto Selvaggio, 73048, Nardo Italy

After wearing the life jackets and adjusted the footrests of our kayaks, we will be ready to set off to the north skirting the beautiful S. Maria dell'Alto Tower. For those who have never been on a kayak, there will be a brief introductory lesson on navigation and safety at sea. The route will take us along a rocky coast full of caves and ravines. If the sea allows us, we will enter the wonderful Green Lagoon cave! We will enter the Porto Selvaggio Bay and stop on the beach at the bottom of the bay. Here you can snorkel, immerse yourself in the cold waters of the spring and take photos. It will then follow the return to the base by taking a route that will show us everything that has been left out on the way.

    • Bring watershoes (gym shoes as an alternative)
    • Bring only not too big bags. I will keep non-bulky valuables such as cell phones and car keys while the small bag or backpack can be stored in the hatches of the kayaks or in the trunk of the trailer. Be careful because in the hatches the backpack could get damp or wet and the trunk of the trailer is not guarded.

    Kayaking with Marco (and Massimo) was great!! Clear and professional instructions before going into the water. The tour was beautiful and we went into several caves. Cliff jump and cold water spring were amazing added benefits. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone that likes active water experiences.

    We had a great day kayaking along the coast with Marco. It was a great experience and he patiently showed us how to operate a kayak and how to correctly use the paddles. I definitely recommend the experience!

    The trip is relaxing and interesting. Suitable for couples and friends. The guide gave clear instructions on how to sail a kayak. We admired the sunset and beach from the water while driving our kayak.

    Was the best choice we could make, the tour was lovely, visited multiple csves along a beautiful coast and even had a swim at the end. Worth tsking snorkeling gear with you too. Our guide was cheerful and helpful too. However prepare for a strong exercise - almost full 2-2,5 hours of rowing.

    Our family took the Porto selvaggio kayak tour in august. We had the chance to kayak on crystal clear green and turquoise waters waters in an absolutely stunning area of Puglia. We also had time to stop at Porto Selvaggio for a swim and some cliff jumping which the kids absolutely loved. Our guide Marco was fantastic, really patient explaining initially how to use the sea kayak and guided us brilliantly. He also took photos throughout the trip which he shared afterwards at no extra cost which was a really nice touch. My only feedback is we had an 8 year old with us and they did not have small childrens paddles. He loved it nevertheless but I think would have enjoyed it even more if he could have had a paddle himself. Overall I would highly recommend this tour for the quality of the experience and the service and it was the highlight of our trip to Puglia.
