What a memorable tour! Ian’s ability to immerse us in the history and music of the Beatles was remarkable. His knowledge was beyond impressive and included unique insights. His passion was infectious. The tour included iconic Beatles landmarks like Penny Lane or the Strawberry Fields. The tour enhanced our appreciation for the Beatles' impact on music and culture, and provided a memorable experience for fans of all ages.

It’s hard to put into words what an amazing day we had on our Mad Day Out tour of the Beatles’ Liverpool. On a practical level Ian was punctual, friendly and thoughtful, and his taxi was clean, comfortable and so quiet (it’s electric). The tour itself was just incredible. I’m a Beatlemaniac and thought I’d seen everything there was to see. I couldn’t have been more wrong. Ian’s knowledge could rival that of Mark Lewisohn! He is a true Beatles fan himself and it makes all the difference. I won’t reveal details because that would spoil the surprises but if you’re looking for a comprehensive tour don’t miss this. He also drove us to the Casbah Coffee Club, which is an addition to his tour (and in our case our guide was Neil Aspinall’s grandson). Unmissable if you have the time because it’s virtually untouched since the early 1960s. We haven’t stopped talking about our Mad Day Out with Ian since we got back home and now have a list of people who want to experience it. And I think we’ll be accompanying every one of them!!! Thanks Ian. You definitely haven’t seen the last of us.

I thought I knew a lot about the Beatles, but Ian is a virtual encyclopedia about all things Beatles during their years in Liverpool! Besides the cursory Strawberry Fields Penny Lane and Elenore Rigby gravesite visits, he took us to all of their childhood homes and explained what it was like for them during those early years. I highly recommend this tour. Besides seeing all the sites and his wealth of information, it is also very reasonably priced.
